Accessibility statement
We want Kerkis to be usable by everyone responsible for a venue, including people using a screen reader, a keyboard alone, magnification, or a phone in bad light.

Where we stand
This website aims to conform to WCAG 2.2 level AA. We believe it does, with the exceptions named below.
That belief is tested rather than asserted: every page is checked automatically against WCAG 2.2 AA on every change, and a change that introduces a violation cannot be merged. Automated testing catches perhaps a third of real barriers, so it is a floor, not a verdict.
What we test, and how
Every route is run through axe-core in a real browser as part of our continuous integration, at WCAG 2.0 A/AA, 2.1 AA and 2.2 AA. The build fails on any violation, so the check cannot be quietly skipped.
Alongside that we check by hand the things automation is bad at: reaching every control with a keyboard alone, a visible focus indicator on each of them, a sensible focus order, and behaviour with animation switched off at the operating system level. Unlike the automated run, this is not yet recorded anywhere we can point you at, so treat it as a claim rather than as evidence.
What we know is not yet right
No independent audit yet. Everything here is our own testing. We have not commissioned an external accessibility audit, and we will say so here when we do rather than implying one has happened.
The seating graphic is decorative. The animated wedge on the home page is hidden from assistive technology on purpose. Every figure it shows is also given as text in the list beside it, so nothing is only available in the graphic — but it does mean the animation itself conveys nothing to a screen reader.
The platform is not covered. This statement covers the public website and the free scope check. The signed-in platform is still being built and will get its own statement, tested the same way, before it is sold.
Motion
If your device is set to reduce motion, we honour it: scroll-driven and transitional animation is switched off rather than shortened, and the pages render in their finished state. Nothing on the site flashes, and nothing moves without you scrolling.
